The clicks that headline alone will get is testament to the desperation that people have for an ‘answer’.
The amount of people that are now going to click out of this article knowing that it’s not going to give them that elusive ‘secret’ is also fairly evident.
In life you have people who are willing to transfer energy or what is defined and known as ‘work’ (yes that’s what work means).
I’m surrounded by people who transfer energy.
In the gym they work.
In business they work.
In life they work.
They have a willingness to transfer, energy, knowledge and to motivate others.
I was chatting to a member of my Advanced Coaching Academy yesterday and we got onto the topic about people’s reluctance to share knowledge as you don’t want the ‘competition’ to know your secrets or things that you know and they don’t.
Let me be straight with you here. The second you start to have an unwillingness to share what you know your business and own personal development slows dramatically.
You think you have something over on your competition so you smuggly keep what you think is a trump card. Because of that you get lazy.
Your content becomes edited. Everything you write or talk about you hold something back. People pick up on this and see it as deceitful.
You lose your transparency. I will tell anyone everything I know and can recollect on a subject if I can. I won’t censor or edit what I say through fear of telling them a secret.
I’ve put everything I know about business, nutrition and coaching into my academy. As I learn more that will be added in and shared. That’s how it works. I stay ahead of the game so the people I teach also stay ahead of the game.
I want to be coaching and developing the best coaches and entrepreneurs In the industry. I want them to get that level of value from what I’m willing to share.
Knowledge is of no use if you’re not willing to share it.
Experience is of no use if you’re not willing to share it.
Stop censoring and editing your content. People see through it and it makes them suspicious of you. They then lack trust in you. The second they lack trust they devalue you. We live in a society of edited lives and content. People love honesty and openness. In itself it’s rare and unique.
Be of value to people, be transparent and open and people will both respect and trust you.
