YOU WILL get to a stage that unless your skills are of the highest demand you will only be able to command so much revenue per hour and work so many hours per week. At that stage that is the height of your earnings.
Number of sessions per week x rate per hour/hours spent delivering a high level of service.
NOW here’s the kicker.
PT prices don’t typically move with inflation OR house prices or any of the other nice things that you like to buy.
I started Personal Training almost 20 years ago and guess what?
The town I came from a one-on-one PT session is the same price I charged 20 years ago……….that is no word of a lie (infact several of the trainers charge less than I did. I had a waiting list the whole time I worked there)
This is the reality.
TRAINERS are scared about pricing
TRAINERS are scared about losing clients.
TRAINERS are on the surface the most confident kind of people you would typically meet. Below that their insecurities are what make them suck at business.
TRAINERS inevitably often move towards less ethical ways to extract money from their clients.
TRAINERS end up working obscenely long hours for very little return.
TRAINERS believe that some sales and marketing funnel can make them 6 figures.
TRAINERS are getting duped by every man and their dog as they love what they do and just want to make a living from it.
TRAINERS typically despite their typical demeanour are a bunch of ego obsessives that can’t handle rejection. They fear increasing prices as someone might potentially reject them and that’s not good for their fragile states.
(Sorry I say things as they are)
I could tell you a romanticised story of how I am now financially free I am or some other BS but the fact is I grafted my arse off for 20 years and worked unsociable long hours. I still to some degree do but I tell you what…..I get rewarded well for it.
I claim back time to do the things I love by managing my business better (Sorry this is sounding like the putrid crap I read on social media every day now so I’ll stop)
You get the drift. I hope. Work hard, work intelligently.
One of the things I get a lot of business owners to do is write down their dream business and reverse engineer it from there. Give it a go!
